Dr. Hari Shanker Joshi is a distinguished medical researcher, educator, and administrator with over 20 years of experience in community medicine, academic leadership and public health. As the Director of ICMR–RMRC Gorakhpur, he is committed to strengthening biomedical research, disease surveillance, and public health initiatives in the region. Previously, he had held several key positions including Dean Research & Registrar, and Dean Academics at AIIMS, Gorakhpur, Professor & Head, Department of CM&FM, AIIMS, Gorakhpur; Professor & Head, Department of Community Medicine at Govt. Medical College, Saharanpur etc. With over 125 national and international publications and expertise in epidemiology, maternal & child health, infectious disease control, and health policy, he leads the institute’s mission to generate scientific evidence for improved healthcare solutions. Under his leadership, RMRC Gorakhpur continues to play a vital role in addressing regional and national health challenges through innovative research and interdisciplinary collaboration efforts.
